The Team

Stuart Aiers

Director

Stuart Aiers studied Horticulture and Agriculture at Cannington College, Somerset. He is a qualified green keeper, having worked on golf courses and bowling greens. After a stint in the Army, and later driving HGV's, he returned to his passion in horticulture, working for a well known local landscaping company. In 2016 he started Countryside Gardens and Landscapes, quickly building a good reputation with customers for his reliable and friendly service. In 2018 he and Ian Pegg merged businesses to create Devon Countryside Landscapes.

Ian Pegg

Director

Before merging with Stuart to create Devon Countryside Landscapes Ian had his own business, Tor Gardens and Landscapes. He has worked in the field for over ten years including as the manager of a 70 acre estate and as a countryside range maintaining over 20 nature reserves of various stature. He has a special interest in wildlife gardening and conservation.

Kara

Gardener / Administration

Kara works behind the scenes as our admin team. Kara joined the team after spending 19 years working with the elderly, complex care and then with children with learning disabilities. Kara now spends most of time out of the office working as a gardener.

Carl

Landscape Manager

Carl left school and had a passion for baking gaining the title of Master baker, after 11 years Carl wanted a career change and started working within the building trade gaining experience in different merchants, whilst working part time with the Territorial Army. Carl gained most of his experience helping to rebuild his house and garden taking a passion into laying paving, then helping others with their gardens. After many years driving HGV lorries Carl wanted a career change and started working as part of our landscaping team.

Aaron

Landscaper

Aaron left school and went straight into working as a civil engineer doing grounds work then working with a company making and building play parks for schools and homes before taking a career change and serving in the royal services on tour and gaining his HGV and other licenses. After wanting another career change he decided to go back into what he enjoys most, the outdoors and wood work.

Jon

Grounds maintenance operative

Jon left school and worked with Teignbridge as a trainee countryside ranger to pursue a career in conservation. Following this he joined Torbay Coast and Countryside Trust and regularly carried out work for the British Trust for Conservation Volunteers and conducted wildlife surveys for the Dartington Hall Trust.

Sam

Contracts Manager

I started gardening at 15 working with my father who is also a gardener, when I was 20 I left gardening for a year to work as a landscaper to pick up some experience on that side of the industry, I then returned to gardening where I was made head gardener until I moved to Devon, where I started to work more on contracts than private gardens, my passion is work and nature and I revel in working outdoors. If I'm not working outdoors I'm usually walking on the moors or taking my dog for a walk along the beach.

Alex

Grounds Maintenance Operative

Alex has worked in grounds maintenance since he left school. He took a career break and worked as a self employed builder before deciding to come back to grounds maintenance where he's most happy. Alex enjoys working outdoors and walking.

Natasha

Adminstration

Natasha is our newest member of the team. She has worked in the retail industry and has a background in customer service and adminstration. In her spare time she enjoys exploring gardens, beaches and new places with her husband and young daughter.
